Description
Where to start? This happens to be finally a Tolkien illustration after a long time. 
It depicts Melian seeking for a quiet place in the gardens of Lórien. Now I have to name all the features I don't like: composition, a frightening nightingale, uncertain light conditions and mostly the flowers, because there should have been more of them and I imagined kind of wax-ink-scratching technique. Maybe the next time. And the background tree and forest and the hill is too similar to one of my older dreams, it looks so strange. Ok, I'm stopping now. 
I just haven't got familiar with this illustration yet.

Melian je krásná, ve všech detailech (tvář, vlasy, šaty). A ty barvy jsou působivé, ta modrá v popředí je na první pohled nezvyklá, ale dělá takovou správně pohádkovou až snovou atmosféru.
