Description

Here I am with Illuin, the northern Lamp of the Valar, illuminating Middle-Earth in the early days. I like the idea described in the History of M-E, that Melko helped with building the lamps, but he made the pillars of ice and they melted and the lights scorched  the lands.
It was a real finght to finish this because of the skies and the hills and everything. In the end it's like an idylic landscape of forgotten days.
If you wondered what the starry skies do there: I was thinking that the lamps were not able to illuminate the wide spaces over, so on the horizons we cas see stars.

I wonder if those luminary were in fact real effects created by the Van Allen belts in the ancient world, one tree in the north, and another in the south. Sounds crazy? Well actually these trees literally appeared in earths sky briefly during the Carrington Event of 1859, the whole earth was illuminated by a magical light, It was so intense people got up in the middle of the night and began their morning chores. All fiction has some basis in fact!
