Fingolfin vs. Morgoth

Description

...And because I didn't like almost any version of this battle (except of Fingolfin and Morgoth and 4put.ru/pictures/max/814/25006…, and few others,  I decided to paint it on my own. Despite the fact I knew, that it's gonna be too much for my skills. The things I don't like very much about this scene are when Morgoth is too big and Fingolfin too small and when the Vala has strange long things on his head that wouldn't allow him to pass the doors if he was goingh through them straight. Like too long spikes etc...:)
And when I finished, I realized that this is such a strange depiction of the famous battle scene. And the only thing I really like is the lava :D
Please forgive Morgoths's small head in contrast to large hand and long legs, forgive also Fingolfin's strange pose...And those round stones- I like them, but I understand they're not very likely to Angbands's surroundings.
I wonder how you'll like it anyway. :)

Actually you apologize too much... Fingolfin's almost comical pose totally works: He's hilariously outmatched after all. Especially since you put him on a taller rock that doesn't look very steady. Meh, the round stones work. Tolkien isn't that specific about Angband's surroundings. You got the lava, that's the important part. Morgoth's head is fine, and I love the expression of patronizing exasperation mixed with manic glee.  I know I wouldn't be standing up and blustering if someone was looking at me like that, so it really makes Fingolfin seem heroic.
